Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 in 1967). Her best-known work is her roles as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her recurring role in Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was an analyst in the field of computer markets as was her mother, Lora Thorne, was a Therapist. They separated at the age of seven. Courtney was just seven. She lived with both parents at different stages. Jennifer is her elder sibling is an executive in the field of advertising. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley while attending high school. Thorne-Smith was the first actress to make an appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas along with Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. Thorne-Smith was also a part of several films during the late 1980s such as Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). She starred with Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, the Chairman of the Board. Thorne-Smith was in Sorority Wars in 2009. Thorne Smith had a relationship with Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen boyfriend from Melrose Place. The actress married geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. They split in 2001. On January 1st in 2007, she wed Roger Fishman, president of the company that markets the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. The couple welcomed Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008, at 40 years of age.
