Abi Clarke
In the past,
i.e. in the early 2020s. In the past comedians could have hoped to tour across
the UK for several years prior to being invited onto a television panel and
selling an arena tour. It's not an easy task at present. Comedy is one type of
art that can remain performed in front of a live audience. But, we're not going
to have arena shows anytime very soon. But, one Bristol comedian has gained a
large following through a the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke didn't set out
to become a global internet star. The 24-year-old living in Hen bury, with her
parents, first started making online videos "to create a fan base of
like-minded individuals who would enjoy my stand-up comedy. "I performed a
lot in Devon to men in their 50s that weren't as hot on my Love Island Sims and
Twilight references, so I decided to search online for others who were young
and would like my stand-up comic." Abi, who lives in Henbury with her
parents has continued to upload her video content to Instagram, Twitter, and
Tik Tok. She gets inspiration from many sources, including conversations with
strangers, the chatroom, and also writing notes on her smartphone.
